Michelle turned a casual high school job with one of Australia’s most successful big box retailers into a career spanning 20 years, going from a register operator to District Manager in this time.  As District Manager Michelle was responsible for 16 stores in both Queensland and Northern NSW with an annual turnover of $160 million and managing up to 500 team members at any one time.

 

Michelle choose to leave retail to concentrate on starting a family and help to grow the family roofing business.​​ Michelle learnt valuable construction industry experience as General Manager for this business over a 7 year period and was able to grow it to the largest of its kind in Qld at that time. After a change in direction Michelle was able to fulfill her own dream of creating her own business that could help and support other small businesses– and that is how Bulimba Business Development and Bookkeeping came into being, with the primary goal of working with business owners to maximise their business potential and minimise their work hours and stress.
